Lefkes & Central Paros
The original capital of Paros, Lefkes was built in the mountains to protect the locals from pirates. Walk around the narrow winding streets looking up to the pinewood hill, or follow the Byzantine trail all the way down to Prodromos. Driving through this area from Paroikia to the eastern coast will bring you the highest you can get on a main road, and you will see across the bay to Naxos without even having to leave your vehicle. Surrounded by smaller villages and with access to everywhere, it makes for a fabulous spot to spend time.
